Riding school -public horse center- ideally situated in Swiss Romande (french speaking part of Switzerland)
1 hour from Geneva, between Lausanne and Fribourg, with a lucrative output.
Also these equestrian structures are
a quarter of an hour by van from the
biggest public horse centre in
Switzerland: IENA.
The main building is an 18th Century
farmhouse which has belonged to the same
family for five generations. It
constitutes one of the most attractive
riding schools of the region and at
present can boast a very enviable
clientèle.
General description:
The buildings are in perfect condition
and have been regularly refitted during
recent years. The construction of the
farm body in a horseshoe faces south.
Therefore, there is generous sunshine.
An inner yard with two basins, a glycine-coated
wall, a lime tree providing welcome
shade, give to this property a Provençal
charm. A magnificent kitchen garden with
its square beds surrounded by bushes
embellishes the front of the farm.
The farm has four lodgings: a small flat
on the ground floor, a big flat en
duplex (two floor flat), with entrance
from the road, a flat with two rooms on
the first floor and a flat with four and
a half rooms on the second floor. A fine
orchard with cherry and plum trees as
well as a well-wooded garden with cabin
(wooden house) embellish the outside of
this traditional country building.
The inner stables, part of the body of
the farm, can provide for fourteen
horses.
A villa adjacent to the farm is composed
of a car cover, a ground floor entrance,
an entrance hall, a big room presently
fitted out as a dormitory to receive the
pupils of the riding camps, high quality
cupboards and wall shelves, a covered
closed terrace used as a Carnotzet or
refectory. An oak staircase goes up to
the first and the second floor.
On the first floor ther is a living room
with a swedish stove in the corner, an
office, W.C., kitchen with door of
access from the bridge of the barn, a
cellar.
On the second floor there are three
bedrooms, a shower +W.C., a bathroom, a
workshop with access by the barn bridge.
The riding school is made up as follows:
-a big car-park with asphalt surfacing
-an access road to the school, an inner
yard, a carpark at the north, all paved
with flags 10 cms thick.
-a concrete surrounded dungheap 12 m. by
12 m.
-a dressage paddock 30 m x 60 m
-a spring garden with natural obstacles,
earth-mound, open-ditch, direct access
from the dressage paddock
-a roundpen, 18 m in diameter enclosed
by American barriers.
-2 meadow boxes
-1 dressage-paddock 18 m x 36 m
cloistered by American barriers.
-numerous parks for relaxing.
The riding school was built in 1994 with
dimensions of 20 x 40 m, ground of
Fontainebleau sand. It has an exterior
door 4 m by 4 m, a service door, a
gable-roof of 6 m, 40 m long.
A cafeteria can welcome twenty people,
towards the stand. The riding school
building possesses, also, in the
prolongation of the indoor training
track, a stable with six boxes, all with
central corridor, windows, the boxes
with sliding separations to facilitate
up-keep. Furthermore, one stabling-sheds
may be transformed into two
supplementary boxes.
This riding centre can house at present
about 30 horses.
The total area of the property is nearly
50,000 m2, of which about 46,000 m2 are
fields and meadows.
A 2000 m2 surface in the village area
may still be developed and is part of
the property.
